TEACHING EXPERIENCE and PROFESSIONAL SERVICE · Served as Coordinator of Graduate Studies, Carnegie Mellon University Music Department · Designed, developed and taught courses at North Allegheny School District in Music Theory and Composition, Electronic Music, Music History and Literature, Multi-Media Arts, Instrumental Music, Marching Band, General Music at all grade levels

· Served as Chair of the Music department of North Allegheny School 1981-82 District; developed budget, designed and implemented in-service teacher training programs.
· Assisted in the design and implementation of a gifted education program at North Allegheny
· Coordinated a Composer-In-Residence Program for North Allegheny School District 1987-88
· Served on committees which wrote the national standards in music education, created the national assessment in music education, developed the outcomes-based model curriculum for music education for the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association, the PA State Arts Assessment Design Team, the national assessment in music education, and the outcomes-based model curriculum for music education for the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association
· Designed and presented in-service training sessions for music faculties in various school districts in music education and technology in music education
· Consulted, developed, produced and presented seminars in: Music Education, New Music, Electronic Music and Multi-Media Arts at the Governor's Institute for Arts Educators, Pennsylvania Music Educators Association conference and West Virginia Music Education Association conferences, West Virginia University, Indiana University of PA, University of Pittsburgh, Slippery Rock University, Clarion University of Pennsylvania, Carlow College, Millersville University of PA and American University
· Participated in developing the Strategic Plan for the North Allegheny School District
· Evaluated school districts' strategic plans for the Allegheny Intermediate Unit
· Developed a web page for the North Allegheny Music Department and served as its "curator"
· Programmed multi-media assessment tasks and a web page for the Pennsylvania Department of Education · Served as Evaluator of the Governor's Institute for Humanities Educators for the Pennsylvanis Department of Education
